• Highlights of 2022-23:

A focus on innovation was at the heart of the Sax Institute’s work for 2022-23, as we strived to improve health and wellbeing by driving the use of research in policies, programs and services.

Our annual report showcases the Institute’s impactful work over the past 12 months, which includes: the 45 and Up Study’s agile response to the need for faster evidence; our Decision Analytics team’s powerful new tools to enhance decision making; and our Aboriginal Health team’s support of innovative Aboriginal-led projects to improve health and wellbeing.

We also acknowledge two important milestones in this year’s report. The Institute celebrated 15 years of partnership with Aboriginal communities, which has powered The Study of Environment on Aboriginal Resilience and Child Health (SEARCH), Australia’s largest long-term study of the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children in non-remote areas. The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre also celebrated a decade of achievements since the Sax Institute led its establishment in 2013.
