• The Sax Instituteโ€™s work is yielding significant benefits for policy and health, with several key accomplishments achieved in 2010-2011.

    The Centre for Informing Policy in Health with Evidence for Research (CIPHER) was launched. CIPHER will see policy agencies and leading researchers work together to develop and test new tools, skills and systems that will contribute to more use of research evidence in policy.

    We developed SURE, a highly secure, remote-access, data-analysis facility designed specifically for research using linked health data.

    More than 300 people from Aboriginal medical services, universities, the health sector and government attended the third CRIAH conference, which outlined many research projects of significance to Aboriginal health policy.

    The 45 and Up Study continued to gain momentum with requests from researchers to use this rich information source increasing.
