• During 2013–2014 the Institute developed stronger relationships with policy agencies, greater use and value of our research assets and made an impact on health services, policy and programs. Highlights include record numbers of researchers using our research assets the 45 and Up Study and the Secure Unified Research Environment, and identifying more than 350 children to receive more than 2100 speech therapy sessions and 90 operations through SEARCH – Australia’s largest long-term study of urban Aboriginal children.

    There were many new users of our knowledge exchange services and new achievements for the Hospital Alliance for Research Collaboration (HARC), which welcomed the Bureau of Health Information as it’s newest partner and awarded its largest number of scholarships to promote better hospital services through research.
