Go4Fun aims to improve the health, fitness and self-esteem of children aged 7-13 years who are above a healthy weight. Survey instruments measure changes in diet, physical activity and sedentary behaviour. This Evidence Check analysed 27 validity/repeatability studies and six assessment studies. For dietary intake, the validity was at best moderate, with frequency of intake a better measure than quantity of intake. Questions tended to perform poorly for validation of activity. Sedentary behaviour questions need to differentiate between a range of sedentary activities and screen time. Very few questions have been validated with Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations. Administration is also addressed.
