In June 2019, the Australian Government announced plans to develop a National Preventive Health Strategy (the Strategy) that will help Australians improve their health.
In September 2019, the Department of Health appointed the Sax Institute to facilitate the process and work in partnership with the Department to develop the Strategy. Work is due for completion in 2020.
The Strategy aims to help all Australians improve their health at all stages, through early intervention, better information, targeting the modifiable risk factors and the broader causes of poor health.
