This review summarises what is known about how and why partnerships between families and educators help to support mental health and wellbeing. It also identifies what strategies build and maintain these partnerships.
Families have one of the most important roles to play in the physical and emotional development of children and young people. Families can include parents, carers, grandparents and kin who care for a child. Building meaningful partnerships with families is essential for supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
