This Evidence Check review examined the evidence on the costs and benefits of interventions in the area of mental health. This review was commissioned by the Mental Health Commission to inform the development of its draft strategic plan. The review found there is little research relating to the costs and benefits of strategies to reduce the burden of harm and cost associated with mental disorders. The Australian Assessing Cost-Effective (ACE) studies feature prominently in this rapid review for consideration to strengthen the evidence base for policy making.
