This study seeks to examine the patterns of healthcare utilisation including hospitalisations, emergency department visits, and Medicare Benefits Schedule and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme use prior to and after a Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) diagnosis, both overall and by subtype, and in relation to survival. The study will also investigate the risk factors for incident Cancer of Unknown Primary using a nested case-control study design.
