The aim of this sub-study is to generate genomic information for 10,000 participants of the 45 and Up Study and use that information to quantify the association between cancer incidence and mortality with genomic cancer risk factors alongside lifestyle, socio-demographic and other health-related risk factors. This work has been funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) through the project “Genomic risk prediction and risk-tailored screening and early detection for common cancers”, led by Prof. Anne Cust and Dr. Julia Steinberg, in collaboration with the Sax Institute, QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
