Applications invited for collaborative scholarship program

Applications are invited for the HARC Scholarship Program, worth up to $10,000, for scholarships commencing in May 2015.

The HARC Scholarship Program supports participants to develop better skills in integrating evidence from research in policy and programs to improve the quality of health services.

The aim of the scholarship is to enable successful applicants to become future leaders with:

  • Advanced skills in using research in policy making
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice and policy
  • Connections to international and national experts in health services research.

Under the guidance of a nominated local mentor, HARC Scholars will investigate an issue of interest, based on a challenge facing their agency. The scholarship will include a visit to a nominated national or international agency with expertise in the chosen field.

Successful applicants will receive funding to a maximum of $10,000.

Eligibility

The HARC Scholarship is open to employees of the HARC partners: the Sax Institute, the Bureau of Health Information, the Clinical Excellence Commission, and the Agency for Clinical Innovation.
