The Sax Institute acts as a bridge between research and policy to enable wiser decisions for a healthier Australia. We bring researchers and policy makers to the same table and draw institutions together to address the big questions facing NSW and the nation.
There are a number of ways we help researchers interested in working with health policy makers and contributing to policy and program development.
Researchers who join RADAR, our Researcher Accessible Database for the Allocation of Reviews, can work with us to conduct Evidence Check Reviews in their field of expertise. These are rapid reviews of existing research on questions raised by policy agencies.

We also run HARC — the Hospital Alliance for Research Collaboration — in partnership with the Clinical Excellence Commission, the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation and the Bureau of Health Information. The HARC Network links more than 5000 researchers, health managers, clinicians and policy makers so they can innovate and share ideas.
