OUTSTANDING CAREER OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCED POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

The Sax Institute's aim is to improve health, health services and programs by increasing the use of research in policy making. We are an independent not for profit organisation that provides a bridge between researchers, policy makers, health services and funding partners involved in health research.

The Sax Institute has developed a vibrant health services research team.  A major component of the team's work is a program of research supported by an NHMRC partnership project grant and conducted in partnership with the Agency for Clinical Innovation to evaluate the impact of their clinical networks.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to play a leading role in the scientific development and implementation of this major program of health services research.

We are seeking a high-achieving successful postdoctoral researcher who has ambitions to develop a career in policy-relevant health services research.  The candidate would need to have a PhD (in psychology, social sciences, public health, epidemiology or health services research) and an excellent research track record relative to opportunity in quantitative health research.

The salary package will be negotiated dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.  The appointment will be until December 2012 on either a fulltime or part-time basis. The Sax Institute is a Fringe Benefit Tax Exempt Employer and offers attractive salary packaging.
