The Sax Institute and the OSPREY Capacity Building Project invited Professor Nicholas Mays, Co-Editor of the International Journal of Health Services Research and Policy to provide advice to PhD students and post-doctorial researchers. Nick gave an informative presentation on ways to increase the likelihood of publication in leading journals. His presentation was followed by an interactive session with two early career researchers who presented a manuscript in progress to the group and received feedback from a Panel of senior journal editors and reviewers.

The candidate would need to have a PhD (in psychology, social sciences, public health, epidemiology or health services research) and an excellent research track record relative to opportunity in quantitative health research.
