PHRP call for papers 2016

PHRP_LOGO_JPG_RGBAustralia’s first online-only open access peer-reviewed public health journal, Public Health Research & Practice (PHRP), is calling for papers from policy makers, practitioners and researchers for four themed issues planned for 2016.

PHRP, formerly the NSW Public Health Bulletin, was re-launched by The Sax Institute in late 2014 with a strong focus on the connection between research, policy and practice.

Issue 4 of the journal was published last month, with the theme ‘Getting the most from routinely collected data’. Issue themes proposed for 2016 include:

  • March 2016 − Environmental health: deadline for manuscript submission, 30 October 2015
  • June 2016 − Routinely collected data (part 2): deadline for submission, 15 January 2015
  • September 2016 − Drug and alcohol: deadline for submission, 15 April 2015
  • December 2016 − Emerging infectious diseases: deadline for submission, 15 July 2015.

Public health policy makers, practitioners and researchers are also welcome to submit articles about their areas of expertise. Article types published by PHRP include perspectives, research, ‘in practice’ and brief reports.

Editorial criteria and requirements for submitting manuscripts, detailed instructions for each article type, formatting requirements and information on the presentation and submission of tables, figures and images are available on the journal’s website.

Authors can also submit manuscripts in ScholarOne via the journal website and can subscribe to receive quarterly e-alerts when the journal is published, make suggestions about themes or topics for future issues, and follow on Twitter @phrpjournal
